6. The Surfing Class

Merrimac is probably the only highschool to have a class for Surfing. Class starts at 7 am for a morning surf and after that class is finished. There was only ever one assignment and that was to make a mini surfboard.

You already had to know how to surf, as there was no surf lessons in the traditional form. In fact I'm still confused how that passed as a real class.

Let's just say that this class really didn't help get you a place in uni. It did however help you sleep in till 10.30 when it rained, rather than come into class, as you didn't have to surf in bad weather.

I studied Home Ec and now can't cook toast, mabye I should have studied surfing??
