13: Curfew for old people |
| Most of the time old people do nothing during a normal weekday. This may be steroetyping alot of old poeple but the general run down of a day involves little more than walking around and eating a few scones. There may be a time when they may need to visit the bank or shopping centre just for a conversation. Contrast to this is the working public who have to be at their jobs around 9. If travelling by public transport they have to allow a 10-20 min buffer just in case some old fuddie duddy wants to chat to the bus driver, or takes a fall on the stairs. These "buffers" could be eliminated if old people were given a curfew which prevented them from leaving the house before 10am. Thus allowing everyone else the freedom to move around quickly and easily in the moring. The curfew would also put these people inside from 5pm onwards to allow people to easily get home from a hard days work. There is nothing that requires an old person to be anywhere before 10am and after 5pm. So why are they allowed to roam the streets and public transport causing congestion?? Also it's dangerous for them to be out at night. Created Thr. 31.05.01 Back to The Right Wing List |
